Berlin's Peec AI secures $21m for AI search tools

As people increasingly turn to ChatGPT instead of Google to find products and services, Berlin startup Peec AI is positioning itself as the go-to platform for companies that want to show up in these conversations. The company just raised a $21m Series A round led by Singular, with participation from Antler, Combination VC, identity.vc and S20, according to Sifted.
Here's what makes Peec interesting: while you're asking ChatGPT "What's the best CRM for small marketing agencies?", the AI is pulling from thousands of sources to answer you. Peec tracks exactly when and how brands get mentioned in these responses, measuring three key metrics: visibility (how often you're mentioned), position (where you rank against competitors), and sentiment (whether the AI describes you positively or negatively).
The company launched in Berlin just this February and has already attracted 1,300 customers, including startups like ElevenLabs and n8n, plus major players like Axel Springer. The timing makes sense: research from Semrush predicts that AI search traffic will actually overtake traditional Google search by the end of 2027.
Unlike competitors who rely on APIs, Peec uses advanced browser automation to interact with AI platforms exactly as real users do. This means their data reflects what actual customers see, not sanitized API responses.
The startup previously raised €7m in July, bringing total funding to $29m. With annual recurring revenue at $4m and climbing toward $5m by year end, Peec is targeting $25m or more in 2026. The fresh capital will fund a New York office opening in Q2 2026 and 40 new hires across all functions.
Over half of Peec's revenue already comes from the US market, and the company is focused on serving mid-market companies rather than only enterprise giants.
